Nonfungible token (NFT) sales have declined by 7.03% in the past week, with Ethereum leading the pack

Sales of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) fell 7.03% from the previous week, marking a third consecutive weekly fall. Sales of NFTs built on the Ethereum platform reached $122.3 million during this time.

Seven-Day NFT Sales Decline of 7.03%
For the second week in a row, NFT sales were rather low, with Ethereum continuing to lead and Bitcoin in second place. Between May 25 and June 1, 2024, sales totaled $122.3 million, a decrease of 7.03% over the previous week. This week’s most expensive NFT was part of the Azuki collection on the Ethereum network. Five days ago, Azuki #3,374 claimed first place at a price of $393,112.

 

Ordinal inscription bought for $305,258 two days ago was the second-highest sale on the Bitcoin network. Five days earlier, a Solana Boogle #061 sold for $206,936, making it the third most expensive NFT ever sold. At $37.06 million, Ethereum surpassed all other blockchains in seven-day sales. Nonetheless, sales of NFTs denominated in ETH are down 11.66% week-over-week.

With a decline of 10.83% from the previous week, Bitcoin NFT sales came to $28.54 million. A little under $19 million, or 1.72%, was recorded by Solana-based NFTs. Out of the top five chains by NFT sales, Polygon came out on top, with a 29.04% growth over last week, reaching roughly $15.54 million. Sales for Immutable X increased 14.69% to $8.54 million, putting it in fifth place.

Although sales were down 16.25% from the previous week, $8,619,161 was still enough to put Uncategorized Ordinals in first place among the top five NFT collections for the week. The second-highest sales volume was Guild of Guardians from Immutable X, with $5.73 million, an increase of 23.27%. After them came Nodemonkes, then BAYC, and finally Dmarket.
